Mrs. Addington earned an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from William Woods University. She received her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and her B.S. in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education from Missouri Western State University.
Mrs. Addington began her career with the St. Joseph School District in 1995, as a first grade teacher at Hall Elementary. She has had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, first grade, and third grade at Hall Elementary and Hyde Elementary. She also served as an administrative intern at Eugene Field Elementary. Mrs. Addington’s experience also includes working at School of the Osage in Lake Ozark, MO as a special education teacher; Desert Sands Unified School District in La Quinta, CA as a kindergarten teacher and reading specialist; and Buchanan County R-IV School District as a preschool teacher. In 2007, Mrs. Addington was selected as principal at Amazonia Elementary School in the Savannah R-III School District. She held that position for thirteen years. Mrs. Addington was recognized by MAESP as the Exemplary New Principal for Northwest Missouri in 2009. Mrs. Addington was selected principal of Lindbergh Elementary in 2020 and Pickett in 2021.
Mrs. Addington considers it an honor and privilege to be the principal at Pickett Elementary, partnering with families and the community to educate our children.
Mrs. Addington and her husband have one daughter, a son-in-law, and a son.
